Dronley Wood’s gnarled Scots Pines on the south west corner are home to a lively community of red squirrels and oak seedlings have recently started appearing, possibly as a result of squirrel activity.  The north west corner has an impressive stand of mature Beech with young Larch to the west and the combination of mixed ages and species covering the whole wood gives homes to a wide range of birds, mammals, plants and fungi.  Dronley Wood has something to be seen in all the seasons.
